Harsh Reality
Victoria layed for day in her comatose state. Her body had completely shut down and in her coma needed very little in the way of nutrients. The sounds of crashing and explosions echoed in her ears and then the memories of her realm becoming engulfed by the Watcher's power to become nothing more than a blink flashed in her head.
She slowly opened her eyes and let her head rest on its side as her vision began to come into focus. Her body ached, her head was pulsing with pain and her arms were tingling from burns, yet her skin was cold. As she opened her eyes the sight before her made her close them again and open them trying to figure out if she was alive or dead.
She lifted her body to a sitting position as the hot winds rushed around her. Storm clouds above were black as night and seemed to be controlled by green and yellow strokes of lightning as they crawled across the sky creating sonic booms that moved across the ground with extreme force. The ground was charred black and seemed to be made of a glass like substance which poked her lightly into her pants which were torn and burned.
Hot gales flurried the realm and lightning crashed in the distance creating explosions as archs of lightning grounded upon the terrain sending black debris in all directions for dozens of yards. The terrain was harsh and she sat upon a flat of a cliffside just inches from the side of a long canyon drop that ended in spires of black sharp rocks sticking up in all directions. The light from this realms sun never touched the ground even between clouds. Rays of light were replaced by falling plasma beams that seered the grounds and burned anything within their touch. The atmosphere was oxygenated so she could breath easy enough, but smelled very high of sulfar and brimstone.
"Am I dead or in hell?", she asked herself as she scooted herself against a wall and looked across a gorge of emense proportions. She looked to her wounds and groaned a bit at the sight of the burns on her fingers and hands, up her arms and down her legs. They were bad but not deadly, probably would scar. Vision in her left eye was slowly returning but returned at a rate that said light concussion. The top of her uniform was burned to ribbons and fell off her left shoulder showing her tattoo that said "Mind" in some language now lost to a realms destruction.
She looked out again to the terrain and slowly stood, groaning and screaming as the pain climbed from her arms to her torso and up her neck. Her screams echoed in the gorge as she placed a hand on her chest and spoke the words "Minor Numb.", creating a slight tingly effect on her body but not totally effecting her mobility. She walked to the edge of the gorge side and looked up to see a good fifty foot climb with barely any foot hold but she didn't see another way to get out of this small opening in the wall of the canyon.
She looked to the sides and then down as the bottom and frowned a bit saying to herself as she reached out and began to climb the what would be the tallest wall ever in her life, "I'm in hell... yup... no doubt about it."
The wall may have been rough looking but all the cracks in the walls outer surface made it a lot easier to climb from the hole she was in, up to the top of the canyon. The biggest difficulty she had was that her mental abilities were down and the numbing had worn off.
As she reached the top, drenched in sweat, she screamed in pain as her body rebelled the arduous climb. "Damn it!", she said looking to the world in front of her seeing that this was only the first of several steep inclines she would have to make before reaching the top of the moutain pass. She breathed heavily and crawled to the side of the out facing wall and sat with one arm on her leg and breathed heavily some more as a hot rain began to fall from the sky.
"poop... figures...", she said pulling the ribbons of her coat off and placing them over her head to shield her a bit from the rain the seemed to sting her burns and wounds with each drop that hit her. The smell of sulfar filled the air as steam rose from the gorge.
"Sulfuric dioxide?", she said quickly gathering her strength and leaving her jacket to quickly escape the gas that filled the air.
She climbed as fast as she could, using every bit of strength she had to reach, grab and lunge for the smallest edges she could find and pull on without falling. The gas began to take it toll as it filled her lungs as she reached the third flat on the canyon walls. Quickly, she ripped off the hangin pant leg and wrapped her mouth to keep from breathing the deadly gas, and then continued to climb.
Her head began to get light as she climbed and breathed heavier and heavier as her muscled used her limited oxygen. She would shake the dizziness off and focus her mind back to the task, soon coming to the top of the canyon, she rolled over the top and away from it. The gas was rising vertically without stray, she pulled the wrap off her mouth and breathed heavily, shedding a tear for the pain that consumed her, and a tear for the memories that shook her to the core.
"Damn... it... Zero... If... I get... out... of this... alive... your... gonna...", she said slowly closing her eyes and falling asleep, ever so lightly that she could rest but hear everything around her for days. There she rested quite some time, her body aches and pains steadily retreating as her mind came back into power but not for several days, for those several days, her mind went back into a coma. At this point, she couldn't help it. She was mentally and physically exhausted and she was in shock. She would awake, but not for six days.

Re: Harsh Reality
Hikari entered the realm atop one of the massive cliff sides looking around the area, it was a wasteland. Each part of this area was black and broken, acidic rain falling from the sky Hikari putting up a small untraceable barrier around herself, beginning to search for Victoria.
Her eyes scanned over the cliff side as she floated over the canyons and cliff faces, hearing something like a scream not to far off she began she quickly turning to the voice seeing Victoria pretty far away resting on top of a cliff side. Hikari took her time getting over to her having to conserve her power and remain hidden from the Watchers still looking for her.
She drew closer to Victoria floating down from the sky and landing upon the rock face that she now rested upon. Hikari observed the girl for some time, she being beaten and bruised, but still clung to her life. With a smirk Hikari raised her hand lifting the girl into the air, her figure floating effortlessly in in front of Hikari she bringing her closer to her.
She looked over her features for a long time, despite being so beaten up, She had a sense of elegance about her. Hikari wrapped a arm around her throwing Victoria over her shoulder turning around looking out over the broken and sad scenery. She looked back over at Victoria as she slept than closing her eyes smirking once more.
"Welcome to the real fight..."
She spoke under her breath mostly talking to herself hoping the girls resolve was strong enough for what was to come. The Watchers would continue to test them and their was no middle in this fight, there was only survive and fight....or cease to exist. The harsh reality that Hikari dealt with everyday. She had hardened herself from even getting to know her soldiers now. They followed her out of instinct to survive, nothing more. She was powerful and they were not. The only ones that remained close to her were Liana, Mura, and Masa. They had survived the longest, perhaps Victoria would be one of them.
She continued to look over at Victoria who was hanging from Hikari's shoulder still, she looked in deep pain and her mind was in chaos from the expression on her sleeping face. Hikari closed her eyes once more giving Victoria enough of Hikari's healing energy to close her wounds, leaving only dirt and dried blood.
With a deep sigh she opened her eyes, cutting her power off from Victoria once more Hikari stepping forward walking to the edge looking down at the broken bottom. Perhaps this one was better without the war to come, but it was not for Hikari to decide. Even the smallest person had the right to fight for what they loved, and she did call her to her realm for help. She shook the thought opening a wormhole stepping inside of it heading back to the Resistance...and her home.
