Defense Protocol

Zero twisted and turned as the tunnels of time and space jumped and spliced, and waned. He had to use his TK abilities to shift him in the directions he needed to go for control. He eyed the black and ivory string that gave him his path until it came to a split that he couldn't distinguish. The line he followed was a double helix moving in two direction of the same 'realm tunnle'.

He just moved on instinct and shifted left and in and instant he appeared outside a crystalized region of space where a small town stood just a couple hundred yards off.

He shook off the grogginess from jumping which always made him light headed because of the focus and movements taken in the 'realm tunnles'.

He began to walk as the energies of this place entranced. It was soothing and wonderful to see a place with such remarkable beauty that it could nearly stop your heart.

As he entered town, a crowd of people clammered looking up at the sky which from what he could tell from all the commosion lit up like the fourth of july. He listened to the thoughts instead of listening to the voiced. Voices were hard to discern at time, but being a mental type, he could sift through thoughts like paperwork.

"The world is gonna end...", "It was beautiful...", "I hope whatever it was doesn't come here."

He heard as he looked around and moved along. Zero had no aura signature here, as though he were invisble to this place. He looked around and focused his senses to the energy waves that were very bright and colorful to this place. He found the shadow energy he was looking for and looked in the direction it traveled, just to realize that it was in the same direction as all the commosion.

Zero sighed a bit and decided to wait and see what would come of such events that had appearantly just recently occurred. He meandered around town and took in the sights, looking at foods, and the construction of the buildings, and just the everyday comings and goings of everyday life here in a place where it seemed like peace was the only option and that war had never even began to touch this place.

Hours had passed and Zero had found himself a place to sit and watch the people. He eyed them lightly as they passed and began to realize that this place was probably the last place in the realm-verse that death and war would ever touch. He began to doze off as a dark feeling began to grow just outside town. Something approached that felt like when his dad passed away.

Zeros eyes widen at the feeling. He knew this feeling. Something he had only felt once before but knew very well of. "Reaper", he spoke standing and walking towards the darkness. If a Reaper had come here, it was to destroy, and Zero wasn't about to allow that to happen again.

Kyle stopped running as he approached the southern parts of town. He could feel the calls of the spirits of those on their last breath and followed them. He had travelled quite a long way and now he had finally found the source of the calls. A small town that had a good amount of people in it, with few ill. But Kyle couldn't help it at the moment, he had no strength from his shadow-cage and needed the souls to refuel.

As he approached, a man sat leaned against a pole dressed in a standard FBI-looking uniform. He was leaned with his eyes closed but Kyle could easily tell this was a messenger for him. As Kyle walked ever closer, the man pulled his hands from his pockets and began walking beside him like they were friends and they spoke.

"You'll not get one person from here.", Zero said with a bit of anger rising from his breath. Kyle just smiled and looked at him as he walked.
"You would be wise to move along friend. I would rather not do things in other ways as you see them."

They both stopped just outside town and looked at the other.

Zero would stop him even if he died. if was his job to protect civilians, in his own realm or not

Zero gauged the total power the Reaper might have based on looks, shapes and build. The outcome of such analysis not being in favor of Zero at all or by a long shot. Mentally Zero knew he could crush this guy, but physically he wouldn't have time to get the thought across to do so.

He began scanning the vicinity for those whose power was great and began transmitting a mental SOS. "Need help. This is Alexander Labeau calling any who can defend a small village in the direction of my transmission. Confronting an unknown but deadly force. Need assistance."

Zero took a step back and then walked in between the Reaper and the small town.

"I can't allow you to make it past me sir.", Zero said beginning to shake with fear to his core.

Kyle grinned then shook his head, "You have some nerve kid. I sense you resent death. You need to realize that its a part of life. Just move aside, that's all you gotta do. Just let nature do its job."

With that Kyle took a step closer but slowly, watching for signs of assault as he moved closer step-by-step.
